Þ    Composition-

Each ml (approx.. 25 drops) contains: Ambroxol HCl 7.5mg + Guaiphenesin 12.5mg + Terbutaline Sulphate 0.25mg + Flavored syrupy base q.s.

Þ    Ingredient Usage-

Ambroxol involves stimulation of surfactant synthesis. It is an effective mucokinetic and secretagogue properties, thus promoting mucous clearance, facilitating expectoration and easing productive cough.

Guaiphenesin is thought to act as an expectorant by increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of secretions in the trachea and bronchi. It aids in the flow of respiratory tract secretion, allowing ciliary movement to carry the loosened secretions upward towards the pharynx.

Terbutaline is a selective b2-receptor agonist that produces relaxation of the smooth muscle found principally in bronchial, vascular and uterine tissues.

Þ    Indicatios-

o   Ambroxol is a mucolyte and helps thinning and loosening the mucus, making it easier to cough out.

o   Guaiphenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps its removal from the airways.

o   Terbutaline is a bronchodilator which relaxes the muscles in the airways and widens them.
