Þ Composition –

Each 5ml contains:

Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP 15mg

Terbutaline Sulphate IP 1.25mg

Guaiphenesin IP 50mg

(In a menthol syrupy base)

Þ Ingredient Usage-

· Ambroxol Hydrochloride is an aromatic amine. A metabolite of Bromhexine that stimulates mucociliary actions and cleans the air passage in the case of respiratory obstruction.

· Terbutaline Sulphate is a beta-adrenergic receptor agonist used for the prevention and reversal of bronchospasm.

· Guaiphenesin as an expectorant increases the volume and reduces the viscosity of the secretions in the trachea and bronchi. It aids in the ciliary movement to carry the loosened secretions upwards towards the pharynx.

Þ Indications-

· Thining and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose.

· Easier coughing out of phlegm

· Increases the volume of fluids in airways.

· Reduces the stickiness of the mucus and removes it from the airways.

· Bronchodilator relaxes the muscles and widens the airways.
