Composition:

Þ    Iron as amino acid chelate is well absorbed, whereas the iron in the form of a salt source may or may not be. Once absorbed into the mucosal tissue, the chelate is hydrolyzed, and the release of the iron into the plasma and the rest of the body tissues and organs is regulated similarly to that of any other source of iron.

Þ    Zinc as zinc picolinate can be better absorbed by the body than other types of zinc, including zinc gluconate and zinc citrate.

Þ    Folic Acid is a B vitamin. It helps the body make healthy new cells. Getting enough folic acid for women who are pregnant before and during pregnancy can prevent major birth defects of baby’s brain and spine.

Þ    Vitamin B12, or cobalamin is needed by the body to form red blood cells and DNA. It is also a key player in the function and development of the brain and nerve cells. Vitamin B12 binds the protein in the foods we eat.
