Þ    Clindamycin is a lincosamide medication used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections

Þ    It is used primarily to treat anaerobic infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria.

Þ    Treats respiratory tract infections

Þ    Treats infections of the skin and soft tissues and peritonitis

Þ    Used with patients who have hypersensitivity to penicillins.

Þ    Treats osteomyelitis (bone) or joint infections

Þ    Treats pelvic inflammatory disease

Þ    Treats strep throat, pneumonia, acute otitis media and endocarditis
