®    Metronidazole diffuses into the organism (bacteria), inhibits protein synthesis by interacting with the DNA, and causes a loss of the helical DNA strycture and strand breakage. Therefore, it causes the cell death in susceptible.

Þ    Indication-

®    Treats parasitic infections such as amoebiasis.

®    Prevents STIs such as urogenital trichomoniasis or giardiasis.

®    Treats infections of the gums, teeth and skin due to various infective microorganisms.
