Composition: 

·       Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic derivative of penicillin with a structure similar to ampicillin but with better absorption when taken by mouth, thus yielding higher concentrations in blood and in urine.

·       Potassium Clavulanate is a b-Lactamase inhibitor which is added to amoxicillin to prevent inactivation of bacterial enzymes. 

Indications:

·       The combination of the injection is used to treat certain bacterial infections, including the infections of:

o   Nose, ear and throat

o   Respiratory Tract

o   Genitals and urinary tract

o   Skin and soft tissues

o   Bone and joints

o   Abdominal organs

·       Amoxicillin Sodium and Potassium Clavulanate for injection is also used to help stop infections in patients having surgery
